I already knew this year would be different for our family because our oldest is technically an adult now. I originally intended to drag him along for our yearly trick-or-treating, but this year’s pandemic forced us to reconsider the traditional door to door candy collection. So, with a bit of researching and gathering ideas, I devised a fun family Halloween celebration that doesn’t involve exposing ourselves to infection while still enjoying copious amounts of candy. Saturday we will spend the day painting pumpkins, bobbing for apples, opening spooky baskets, busting piñatas, searching for candy in the yard, and watching fun movies. Of course, we’re absolutely going to dress up! Who says Halloween has to be canceled this year?
