Sometimes, you just need some chocolate cake, but you don’t want the hassle of measuring several ingredients and cleaning the aftermath. So, you doctor up a box mix and slather it with canned frosting!
Ingredients:
1 box gluten free cake mix
3 large eggs (instead of the 2 on the box)
1/2 cup melted butter (instead of just 1/3 cup)
1 cup milk (because why use water when you’ve got milk?)
1 teaspoon of vanilla (bring out those flavors!)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Whisk together your wet ingredients until mostly combine.
Whisk in the boxed mix until fully incorporated.
Pour the batter into two greased cake pans. Bake for about 35 minutes at 350 degrees. A knife should come out clean after just 35 minutes — don’t over bake!
After letting the cakes cool for about 10-20 minutes, frost the layers well with chocolate frosting. Coat it well, and serve fresh and warm with a glass of milk!
