I’m so thankful to finally have all my classes at all my institutions lined up. I’m set up for two face to face classes and one online class at one college, and I’ve written my syllabi for those classes already. I’m also finished editing those course webshells to seamlessly run through the fall while I focus on grading and interacting with students. At another college, I have two courses that I will be teaching online. I’m very excited to be teaching those courses online because the modality saves me time and money spent commuting, protects my family and me from virus exposure, and builds my credibility as an online professor. Then at the university, I have an additional two courses, which will be taught in a rotating face-to-face method. Half of the class will meet one day, and the other half will meet on the other day. This minimizes exposure for myself and students.
I know that I will be very busy juggling seven classes at three institutions, but I look forward to the challenge and the opportunity to save for the spring and summer semesters next year. I have officially found myself as a full-time professor, even if I’m technically only part-time at each institute. My resume looks amazing, and I cannot wait to see what the future brings!
