Back in 2007 when my in-laws came to visit for the birth of my daughter, they brought along their Shih Tzu mix dogs. Their fluffy black pup was named Bebop, and my oldest son absolutely fell in love with the sweet little dog. He expressed a desire to have a “Bebop Junior” if their dogs ever had a puppy that looked like its father. Little did we know that in September of that year a little puppy fitting that description would be born in their first litter. My father in law knew exactly what to do at that point.
Fast forward to Christmastime of 2007. My in-laws came up for a Christmas celebration, and my father in law presented our oldest son with a box. Of course, we all knew except for our son, so all the adults looked on with anxious excitement. He took the lid off the top of the box and found a little black puppy staring up at him. Overjoyed, he lifted the puppy up into his arms with the biggest grin spreading across his little face. Our son got his Bebop Junior!
