Technically, the kids have been out of school for about three weeks now, but this summer vacation is especially welcomed after the chaos of the 2019-2020 school year. With about two months to spare, schools shuttered for the duration to help flatten the curve, leaving kids slightly confused about the next steps. It’s not easy when you’re young and don’t understand what’s going on, which is why I’m grateful for the normalcy that comes with summer vacation. There are no expectations — just spending each day doing chores and playing. Although the typical summer pass to the public pool isn’t an option this year, I’m sure the entire family is grateful for lazy summer days!
